Why am I writing this down? #1 because I want an excuse as to why I haven't blogged in two months #2 because I want an excuse to feel sorry for myself and #3 because I want my boys to look back at this and thank me profusely one day. Is that too much to ask?

Jackson has been playing fall baseball and last weekend they had a tournament in Mesquite. I must say it was absolutely glorious to be in the sun and heat if only for a couple of days. The only bummer was Connor was playing a playoff game back here at home. Kev and I picked a kid and I won Mesquite..hoo ah. Halloween night we took the kids trick or treating. My boys were the typical creepy mask kids so I am posting a picture of a kid on Jacksons team. He grew his hair out specifically to shave it off for halloween. If you couldn't tell...he's an old man.

Too funny. Jacksons team won the tournament!

Connors team won the playoff game against Bingham (sorry Miss) hee hee. His team will play for the championship on Sat. Anyhoo...it's good to be bloggin once again, can't wait to read your posts!!

GO ALTA!!!!

Meet Marley

My boys have been begging and begging and begging for a dog for as long as I can remember...and my answer has always been "not yet" or "maybe in a year" or "I don't think now is a good time". Well...we finally took a leap and bought little "Marley" from my friend Melissa and her family. We had babysat Marley a couple of times and fell in love with her, so when the opportunity came for us to buy her, we pretty much jumped at the chance. I still can't believe we have her and it is definitely not the easiest thing but I think I'm OK and the boys are in hog heaven...or dog heaven. If anyone has any great tips I would love anything and everything. She is 8 weeks old and a pure pred chocolate lab. She loves to bite and chew and pee everywhere but man she is cute. Thanks again Christensens..we will take good care of her!!

Happy Happy Birthday Melissa dear!

My cute and fun and fabulous friend Melissa had yet another birthday last week...woo hoo. To celebrate her wonderful day and night, we partied it up down at gateway..I love that place. We went to dinner at CPK (her favorite) and then did a little shopping until the Sanctuary closed around 9pm. We like to do the after hours thing at the Sanctuary.. we can be as loud and obnoxious as we want without the worry of getting shushed by other guests.

I think I definitely win for the whitest and pastiest legs...anyone wanna challenge me?

Charlies angels plus 1...

Melissa thought she would get a little frisky with Mr. Buddha himself.. how does his ear taste Miss?

There was something about that Buddha...

Geez Rach... can we all say limber...

Everyone give a little Ummmmmm....

Make a wish!! Hope you enjoyed your birthday...I know I did!

Belated birthday Thank You!!

Thank you...Thank you...Thank you...to the greatest friends ever!! Getting older really stinks but having friends take you to breakfast and throw you a dinner party and give you gifts and treats, and magazines, and homeade posters(that I cannot seem to scan on my printer), and candles and books and jars and water pitchers that in my mind is definitely not seasonal and just great conversation all around..(we missed you Rach, Cass, and Jill).. really made the day all worth it!! I love you guys. And to my little Miss.. you are such a great friend to spend all day cleaning and dipping cinnamon bears just so I could have my favorite treat...I love ya my friend!

It's football time....again

My favorite time of year has once again arrived. Football time. I cannot begin to explain how much I love this sport, so I wont even try. Connor and Jackson had their first game yesterday in Grantsville. Anyone lucky enough to spend a day in Grantsville lately? Jacksons game was at 2 and Connor played under the lights at 8pm. In between games I found the Tooele Walmart and pretty much walked down all the aisles to pass the time. I don't think I have enjoyed a Walmart so much in all of my adult life. My only other option was a Walgreens or an Albertsons so I'm pretty sure I made the right choice of entertainment.

Connors team beat Grantsville 34-0..not really a close game but definitely entertaining...no nails were bitten off at this game...although I could have bought a pair at Walmart for 3.99..french tip included...

And Jacksons team pretty much killed Grantsville...final score was 48-0...good job boys!!!

GO ALTA!!

New York

I have absolutely no idea how to do one of those slide show thingys where you can condense all your pictures into one cute little sitting. My only other option was to post quite a few pictures into this little blog..bare with me. Kev, Connor and I took a trip to the big apple last week to soak up one of my favorite destinations. I love love love New York and the fast moving pace that keeps my ADD quite entertained at all times.

This was Connors first trip to New York so we tried to do most of the New York "have to's".

We hit broadway and went to a show a day. Does it get any better? My favorite was Legally Blonde...seriously hilarious and a must see if you can.

We did the empire state building...of course... but I definitely could have done without it...too crowded!!

We went to the restaurant where the waiters sing and take turns performing as you're eating...very fun. Does anyone remember the name of this restaurant on Broadway?

FAO Schwartz...of course

The Today show a must...

Dylans Candy Bar was quite the treat...get it...quite the treat...man I'm good

The bike cab was awesome...

And Connor really wanted to check out the Museum of Natural History....let me cover my yawn...BORING...
Central Park...another "must see"...

And of course we had to eat and eat and eat and eat and eat...

and eat and eat and eat

and chow and eat and scarf

and inhale and munch and gobble

and slirp and sip and so on and so on and you get the point...

But through all of the New York hustle and bustle, one of my favorite moments was when Connor and I were waiting in line for Lion King tickets...we had a mother- son moment where we whipped out the camera and took candid shots to pass the time.

It may seem silly but we laughed and had the best time just enjoying one another. Some say Connor and I are alot alike and I just reply Thank you, I am proud to be like my awesome son.

Thank you Kevin for an amazing trip.
