Wish I had a girl

Macy, Jazmine, and Kennedy

Ok, could my nieces be any cuter? I seriously could just kidnap them and take them home every time I see them. My sister Cathy had us over for a yummy dinner today and of course I had to take their picture to put on my blog. Come on Cathy I'll pay you if you just let me have them for a week or two and I promise I won't spoil them...Yes I would...I would totally spoil them but can you blame me.

My sister Cathy and her adorable hubby Steve
pick a car...any car

After dinner, the kids went outside and took a little spin around the neighborhood. I would have loved doing this when I was little but the closest thing to these cars would have been my barbie corvette...man I loved that car...all pink and perdy.

We did it...again

My bangs are looking so awesome in this picture!!

For all of you who didn't get an invitation, phone call, shout out, or even a hint.. which was pretty much everyone we know except for 3 or 4 (you have to have two witnesses)..Kevin and I got rehitched yesterday. We did it at my house with the kids, stake pres.(he married us), his wife and Kevins parents who were our witnesses. It took all of about 3 minutes..seriously. It took longer to sign all the papers than it took to say I DO...it was perfect!! The only thing I would have changed was what I was wearing..Kevin made me and the kids dress up but my preference would have been my pajama pants and a really large t shirt, I'm all about comfort. Thanks to my awesome friends who.. when they found out.. brought me flowers and paid for dinner last night, you guys are the best!!
And to my sisters...I love you, you are the best sisters ever, I would never ever get mad at you if you got married without telling me...honest..Ok maybe a little but I would forgive you right away and tell you I love you over and over again and then I would take you to lunch or dinner at your favorite restaurant and buy you dessert...your favorite dessert...you know the kind that has lots of whipped cream and chocolate and caramel and all that good stuff...yep, that is exactly what I would do...do you forgive me yet?

Field Trip to the Fire Station

Don't you love going on your childrens field trips.. you know the walking kind where you get to walk a mile with 100 6 year olds on a busy road just to get to the assigned destination..Wow me too... Ok I exaggerate.. I don't love them but I do them so my children will have lasting memories of their mother always being there when they needed me the most. Ok I exaggerate again... I do them because I signed up at the first of the year when I was all gung ho to participate in my childrens activities.. Ok I exaggerate again...I went today because I got a phone call at 8:00 am needing my help..there I said it.

It's not that I don't enjoy field trips, it's just the walking ones to the fire station I don't love. I have three children and i have been on this field trip more than once. I mean how many times can you look inside the fire truck and ooh and aah over a hose and ladder. I did have one simple pleasure though...

Meet Mr. Fireman...isn't he adorable...

Have you ever had a moment in your life that you don't ever want to forget but are afraid you may. I don't ever want to forget the feeling on Sunday and being surrounded by the people I love the most in this world. I don't ever want to forget the moment when I walked in the room and felt so overwhelmed by the support of friends and family that tears immediately came to my eyes. I don't ever want to forget looking into the eyes of those I love and seeing pure love coming back to me. I don't ever want to forget seeing my children crying from pure happiness of seeing their mother and father in the water. I don't ever want to forget listening to the words of best friends who have been with me through thick and thin and never wavering on being there when I needed them most. I don't ever want to forget the words of my bishop and stake president and how the words touched my heart. I don't ever want to forget the hugs and kisses of everyone and the kind words that were said to me after the prayer. I don't ever want to forget the feeling of laying in bed on Sunday night hoping and praying that this feeling will never ever go away. I love you all and I want you to know that you will never ever know what it truly meant to me to have you there. As Charlotte said through her inspired words.."if this is what heaven is like I can't wait to get there. " well I pray that that is what heaven is like, it was definitely a piece of heaven on earth for me and my family.

"when do I get to play mom?"

Ethan finally got to play some "football" just like his older brothers. Last night he had his second scrimmage and ran his little heart out for a touchdown. Well pretty much all the kids got to run their little hearts out for a touchdown but who's counting. Ethans coach was worried because this is his first year playing and he is the youngest on the team. The coach actually thought he might not know how to play. We had to inform this coach that the only thing he had to worry about was teaching Ethan to grab the other kids flags instead of tackling them...did he not see his two older brothers sparring with each other before he made that comment. Ethan only had to apologize once last night for injuring another kid..but in Ethans defense, the other little boy should not have been trying to grab the football out of his hands..I hope the cleat marks heal O.K...

Wait.. is that the Williams sisters?

Ok...you probably think this is an advertisement for "how to get pasty white legs" or you may think you ran across an excellent picture of "Venus and Serena with pasty white legs" or you may even think you found a picture under the title of "how to hold your tennis racquet so you look like you've played tennis more than once in the past 4 years".. but my friends you would be wrong..well sort of...I can definitely tell you how to get pasty white legs. No No..this is a picture of two friends who decided to pick up a racquet after four years of not playing tennis and have someone take a picture of them to actually document the moment...See Dan and Kevin.. we do play.

Remember

Melissa and I were working out this morning and she made the comment that she hadn't heard anything about September 11th before today. She remembered how years prior we would get all sorts of shows on TV or radio and that it seems to be dwindling every year. I admit I didn't even think about what day it was until she said this. I still remember 6 years ago to the day when Cheri called me telling me to turn on the TV. She said she believed World War III had just started. I watched TV all day and I'm sure the next week. I remember how nice everyone was to one another..how your car horn seemed to never want to honk or just being with family seemed like a gift. I remember thinking that I wish people including myself could stay like this forever. Time moves on, people return to what I guess is "normal" and we do forget. Thanks Melissa for reminding me of what an important day this is and may we always "remember".

Another day of Football

This is a face of a boy who just beat his ultimate rival...Bingham!!! Not only did they beat them, they crushed them, stomped on them, beat them until they were crying for mercy!!!Alright...the score was 9-0 but what a win. Connor made the most awesome play in the last few minutes of the game. They were winning 7-0 but Bingham had the ball on their own two yard line... The ball got hiked to the quarterback who proceeded to backup into his own endzone looking for a pass when Connor beat his way through 5 or 6 guys...O.k just 1.. but he beat that one guy and tackled the quarterback in the endzone for a safety!!! For those of you who don't know what that is...ask your hubby...but the bottom line is he was able to score two more points for Alta which brought them to a WIN!!! Go Hawks

Jackson lost a tough game today against Brighton..(strangle a Bengal and brighten your day)..is that how you spell strangle? Anyway... it was an exciting game but a tough loss... You'll get em next week Jackson!!!

Hello, is anyone there?

Are you ever in a situation where you have asked your children to do something....anything that competes directly with their x-box? Do any of you ever want to take that stupid little box and throw it out a three or four story window and see it crash into little itty bitty pieces? Do you ever feel like when your children are mesmorized by the star wars guys fighting one another on the TV that you could have a heart attack, brain aneurism, or anything else that could drop you dead on the spot and your kids would just look at your lifeless body and think that right now is really not a good time for you to die? Do you ever say that it's time for dinner, homework, bed, etc. and have the answer be "just one more minute I almost won this level" ? Do you ever get woken up at 6:00 in the morning to the sound of battleships and lightsabers and dogfights between Jedis and and the evil ones? Huh.. do ya.. do ya... Well I do and let me tell you I am about ready to have a yard sale and have the box called X be sold to the lowest bidder... any offers?

Alta Football Rocks

Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls...Football has officially started in the Bolingbroke house...hoo rah!!! Connor and Jackson have been practicing five days a week two hours a day for the past month to prepare them for...drum roll please...TODAY!!

Jacksons game was at 9:00 this morning and Connor played at 12:00 and let me tell you...there is nothing better then boys beating the pulp out of one another on the field and I aint jokin. I'm not sure it's normal to see your son get clobbered and yell at him to get off the ground and shake it off instead of seeing if he's OK. What's the saying from "A League of their own"?.. oh yeah.. "there's no crying in baseball"...well I tend to use that saying with each sport my boys play...pretty sympathetic huh?

Jacksons team beat Riverton 30 - 0 with Jackson running his short little legs for one of those touch downs. (Note to the people on the sidelines...) when Christines boys are running down the field get out of her way cause she's running right along with them. It's all good. Connors team beat Woods Cross 36-0 with Connor making a key play by grabbing the ball right out of the opponents hand when he thought the play was over...Totally Awesome..Man I love this game. Well.. I think I'll go gargle with salt water so I'll have a voice for next Saturday...Go Alta
I love chicken chests!!!Posted by Picasa
